It is focking disgusting how we can't make a maamul. I mean look at this god damned land. Who the fock needs Kismaayo ama meelo kale? I mean you got Beled Xaawo that sees more transnational trade than anywhere else in Somalia (think about the tax we can be putting into goods coming in and out of Somalia to Ethiopia/Kenya), you got Baardheere which is as worth as Kismaayo, you got the farms, you got two rivers (Jubba and Dawo) and you have natural resources and are positioned right next to Kenya which is interested in helping you succeed for their own economic links with the NFD. We fix up Gedo and Jubbaland and Kismaayo will be tripping over themselves trying to become part of our state.

My motto is GEDO FIRST.

These people and land look more like first world in terms of their actual look and feel of their land then anything you can see in the rest of Somalia's shanty towns. Why do Mareexaan lust after national power when they can get so much more from local empowerment?

Voltage,

Marexaan will never give up Kismaayo until it becomes like Caabudwaaq or beled xaawo. We're already 80% there already

Access to the Indian Ocean waa laga marmaan

Without Kismaayo, Marexaan are left to try to negotiate a deal with Hawiye to use Mogadishu, which isn't a good prospect

My point is stop wasting so much capital in kismaayo. We are already rooted there and can claim it in the name of majority but the thing is there is a difference in being the majority of somewhere and getting the perks and being synonymous with the land. Think of Hawiye and Muqdisho. When Qaybdiid was defeated, Sacad ran their ass back to Hobyo and made Galmudug. When I build Kismaayo, I am building it for all Somalis when I build Gedo, I am building it for Marehan. Think of it like that because that is how it is

We shall never forget and we shall never ignore it, but let us concentrate on Gedo first. You have to concentrate your resources on a single thing. MJs did it with Boosaaso and the system became self-supporting. Let us make Gedo reach its potential, once we do that we will have both the foundation for seeking Jubbaland and something to show the rest of reer Jubbaland so they can see us partners instead of occupiers.

No one is saying forget Kismaayo, we are the majority. I am saying for now stop concentrating on controlling Kismaayo, let it play itself out especially since locally we are dominant there. Let us go with the flow while we concentrate on taking advantage of what Gedo has to offer.

Remember, the reason we want Kismaayo is not because of land, we have more than enough and bountiful land. We want it as a port but Gedo is downtrodden whats the usage for the port?

There needs to be a road built from Gedo to Kismaayo. The friggin last regime didn't do that while building roads in Bari, Woqooyi and shid.

The more maamuls there are in somalia the less alshabab will control, so I will support you guys to create your own maamul.
