Women are attracted to jerks because our all-curious mind wants to know what he's hiding underneath that dark, mysterious attitude. Ciyaal suuq gals going for akhwaan. (hilarious by the way lol) But very true and rapmpant. But almost every gal is susceptible to a bad a$$ boy who is rude, obnoxious, aggressive, the kind that whistle in the streets and hold their junk. Here is an example i will give u. I went to a pajama all gals party once, and got reunited with alot of high school long time homie gals--who asked about this gals brothers. (They were hot jocks in high schools. Lol and still are after high school lol)
They began asking the gal, putting her on the spot, and asking about her two brothers, one very popular in high school. One was bad a$$, the 'popular' one of course, and the other was mamas boy. The girls said the bad boy had two babies with this gorgeous woman. The woman began to talk sweet and all praises for this bad boy baby daddy. They began commenting about his business, even exeggeratin the wife is pregnant with the third child.Or insunuating his active or businnes' in bedroom activity. Now, the funny thing is--no one was talking about the other brother. I brought the other bro up just to make a point. I said-- " i rather prefer the mamas boy. He just finished university, he is handsome and always drives his mama to mall and the hospitals.(i dont mean what i was saying of course, but i was just messing with them or offended on some imagined philosophical point--) The gals looked at me as if i was on crack, they briefly commented---- "haa kaas waa maaskin" and then quickly they continued with the bad boy ---'''hoorta---did he impregnent hebel hebel too?? Walaahi ninkaas waa qataar'

I sat there disgusted but also sadly agreeing with them silently. I was conflicted between my heart and my intellect, and of course jealous of this dumb bimbo idiots who didnt suffer my conflicts. The conflict or battle of heart and brain!! My heart obviously desiring the bad boy and my brain wanting the intellectual "nice' brother. While....."They" ignorantly and blissfully--just delved into their hearts desire without any worries at all.

Basra I always thought it had something to do with the fact that girls have that sense of urge of obligation to somewhat tame that bad boy. Kinda like when you see a wild dog - that nobody has bothered to domesticate simply because its far to wild and independent. Girls like bad boys simply because they wana feel satisfied that it was them (only them) who got him to change his ways. And that gives them a special feeling. I could always be wrong though. And as you said it could just simply be about sex.
