Timely English lesson for reer Somalinet.
You need to understand the difference between possessive and multiple. Majority of you have problems with this.
When someone writes "John's" that means something that belongs to John.
When someone writes "Johns" that means a lot of Johns (in this case bathrooms, or people named John).
I have also noticed a lot of you struggle with "you're" and "your". You're is short for you are (followed by anything that can describe) so anytime you want to know the difference between the two, remember if does not make sense to say "you are", then you're is wrong to be in the sentence.
Example: Do you want your book....or....You're happy today (you are happy today).
I have also noticed a lot of you struggle with "its" and it's". "It's" is short for It is, again if you cannot seperate it in the sentence, then it is not "it's".
Examples: The dog wagged its tail....or....It's raining today (It is raining today).

Dangirl, I am really not. But I feel like we should at least get something constructive out of this and if this makes some of my fellow Snetters remember the difference between these confusing usages, then good. Sometimes waa subconscious. Up to college, I always misused the terms "then" and "than" and still do now somethings but catch myself cuz of my English professor's little tactic when he picked it up in my writings and worked with me.
P.s. It is "you're".
P.s. It is "you're".

Yes, yes, Voltage, I'm tired of the incomprehensible sentences as well, preach on, preach on.
I think people who makes these errors part of it, it's laziness, *guilty* not ignorance
Seriously though, If you can follow and understand someone's point, argument, debate, who cares about a few misspelled words and/or bad grammar.

Re: Timely English lesson for reer Somalinet.
Dude this just a forum. People can type in txt spek, proper english, gibberish or a mixture of all three if they want. That doesn't mean they don't know English.
For heavens sake, you don't even use the word ''proof'' correctly, so you should be the last person to make this topic.
