Twelve dead as US soldiers go on shooting rampage at Fort Hood military base in Texas

The Army says one of the gunmen has been killed and two others apprehended and all of the gunmen are US soldiers.

The massacre happened at a training centre on the sprawling grounds of the largest US military base in the world.

One gunman was caught quickly but the others went on the run.

Four police officers were shot and wounded before they were arrested.

Eyewitnesses said the gunmen were dressed in military uniforms.

According to one report the shootings happened shortly before a graduation ceremony involving universities located on the base.

President Barack Obama has been briefed on the situation, the White House said.

Fort Hood is one of the US’s premier installations for training heavy forces and tens of thousands of soldiers go through every year, many heading to Afghanistan and Iraq.

It covers an area of 15 square miles some 50 miles from Waco, Texas and there are up to 50,000 people, including families, on the site at any one time. The base has been locked down.

Ok are us soldiers just game for being killed? How unlucky of them. Here in our home, united states, home of the free and the brave? The gunmen must have been suffering from war mania. They all have psychological problems.

The killer's name was Malik Nadal Hassan, man we're fucked in America.

I'm sensing its a false-flag attack setup by CIA to make domestic spying easier. There's no way these guys are that good without special training, supposedly they were just in training. BS.

OH GOD. that really sucks. now all the anti-islam nuts come out and innocent muslims start getting harassed. I just hope to God none of those crazies attack mosques like they did after 9/11.

I always thought blitzer was fair and balanced until the cameraman one day messed up and we accidentally saw his jewish skull cap.

God, the exchange was so awkward.

Is Hannity on? I honestly think Hannity skips around with glee when things like this happen.

It's another oppurtunity for him to use one of his favorite expressions: "Islamic Terrorism".
