Those don't sound Somali, even remotely. For instance, lion is known as liibaax. The closest word to "Ar" is ari, and it means goat. Spit in Soomaali means candhuuf (the letter dh is totally different from t). I have never heard or read Neder; it sounds European. Ayah in Egyptian sounds grasshopper in Soomaali.zingii wrote:Language: Somali/Egyptian (meaning)

Re: Similarities Between Somali & Egyptian Language.
The relationship between kushites and ancient egyptians is obvious from the genetic evidence and the linguistic as well, but they were not the same people
just very distantly related.
Egyptian culture and langauge evolved in the south in upper egypt brdering northern sudan exactly the same region where kushites langauge and culture evolved
so the closeness is understandable..
The first egyptian dynasty came from the south and conquered lower egypt that was more racially mixed and imposed the common egyptian langauge throught egypt.
Egypt later became a super power that expanded all the way to the borders of ethiopia and Eritrea and Turkey to the North.

Re: Similarities Between Somali & Egyptian Language.
Ancient Egyptian called their ancestral home the Land of Punt. I think that was either in Eritrea or Northern Somalia
Re: Similarities Between Somali & Egyptian Language.
Linguistic and genetic evidence points to a relation. I wrote a paper a while back on the similarities, particularly surrounding haplotype (E1b1b).

And they say Arabman is an old Somali. Even a 9 year old knows aar in Somali is lion, tuf means to spit (candhuuf means the spit), neder and nasri in Somali are interchangeable both meaning divine and Dayax is moon.General Duke wrote:Those don't sound Somali, even remotely.
