who'se been to Nairobi ?

I went there for two weeks this summer and it was SO sad. I went to visit a friend's aunt one day and ventured into that horrid neighborhood referred to as Eastleigh. I saw hungry mud spattered children everywhere. the ground itself seemed hungry too, trying to swallow you up in it's all its thick mud. my shoes were completely ruined. I burst into tears when I saw her "house". my poor poor compatriots, and all I could do was shed a tear and give her gifts from her niece. any who, I just wanted to get that off my chest. thanks

The reason they want to come to the US, is that they have the wrong idea about it. They think if they come here they will get everything they need without working hard for it. I remember when I was in Nairobi a dude who I met at a restaurant was like "I heard in the USA people will give you money when they hear you are refugee and they will also give you a house"

They believe people in the USA wear golden shoes. They watch too many movies.

I was there in may and I enjoyed it, but I was in Nairobi West area and not Hiroshima circa 1945 sorry Eastleigh. That place is in terrible shape, I blame the city of Nairobi council.
