really thats an unusual line of thinking?Crazy Cat Lady wrote:^ It would be the death knell for Somaliland's hopes for recognition, so yes it would be a good thing
It would be a brilliant example for the international community of the effects of accepting secession, the wanton fragmentation of a nation, which will set a dangerous precedent for the world.gurey25 wrote:really thats an unusual line of thinking?Crazy Cat Lady wrote:^ It would be the death knell for Somaliland's hopes for recognition, so yes it would be a good thing

it'd be a big blow to ethiopia if puntland freed itself from enslavement to ethiopiahanad_mn wrote:Ok Puntland are threatening to Declare themselves another country, How big of a blow would it be...
Secession has everything to do with Somalilandgurey25 wrote:What does that have anything to do with somaliland,
we are already in that situation, nothing can make it worse.
By removing Puntland, there will be greater unity in the South? Interesting. Do you know what a 'contradiction' is?it may even be a good thing, puntland is one of the many causes of chaos and disunity in the south, removing ountland means less people fighting for the throne meaning faster resolusion.

Lol, This must be the only objective ONLF = "One-Naag’s-Liberation-Front" or should I say Cagdheers have in mind. Yet, failed miserably to achieve hitherto.....Somali-Star wrote:it'd be a big blow to ethiopia if puntland freed itself from enslavement to ethiopiahanad_mn wrote:Ok Puntland are threatening to Declare themselves another country, How big of a blow would it be...
You have seceded, but you haven't been recognised as a state, and inshallah you never will. Puntland is a shining beacon for the south, removing it would be a friggin disaster for the South.gurey25 wrote:Crazy Cat Lady wrote:Secession has everything to do with Somalilandgurey25 wrote:What does that have anything to do with somaliland,

oh i keep forgetting, you are one of those people who actually believe that we havent seceded yet,
and that there is a chance that we would be part of another union with the south.![]()

about the last statement, there is no contradiction, remove puntland less problems in the south..
this is self evident and intuitive, i think most people will be thinking the same..
