Came home for thanksgiving and after my self-imposed exile from the Somali community found out the SADE youths in my city not only have bonded and formed a group but are actively initiating development schemes for SADE. So far they have raised enough money to build a high school in Ceel Waaq and their next target is a clinic somewhere else in Gedo. The only requirement it seems is to be a youth and these guys are advanced...writing grant proposals and skipping over traditional intra-Somali fundraising to get backing from all the support money lying out there to help people in these schemes. Most of the guys in the running of the group are recent college graduates. All other SADE youth should organize in Ohio, Minni, Canada, Europe, etc. It is time for us to rise again.
