Switzerlands political rightwing group has if i'm not mistaken, the largest number of seats in its parliament. It appears to me that they have been frustrated at the growth of muslims in their country and the rise of minarets, there are a large number of Jews residing in their country aswell as the Sikhs, i dont understand how they target a specific religion rather than all religious buildings. Banning the construction of minarets is a direct result of heavy influx of muslims in Europe, i dont blame them for their fear.

Exec, banning the hijaab would be taking a step to far. Geneva is situated in Switzerland, they are threading on thin ice.

There are Churches in Saudi arabia, Some for diplomats and foreigners such as Philippine workers.

Switzerland isn't known for it's tolerance, but they brought this on themselves. Why say 'Minarets not allowed' when you can just as easily say something such as: "No structures over x feet high. No noises over x decibels" and avoid the whole 'discrimination' issue?

I expect this to be the start of string of similar intolerances against Muslims all over Europe.It's time that Muslims come up with a united game plan, if they wish to continue living with these intolerant gaalo, before they are all booted out.

Bottom line, regardless of Muslim disappointment of this ban, Switzerland is a gaal country and they are free to ban anything they vote on.

Personally dont know what the fuss is about. Already switzerland have been condemned by the rest of Europe and in their defence claimed it was purley for architectural reasons (bullshit). Thats what happens when they decide to hold a referedum where the right wing hijack it. Most of the muslims in switzerland are from Kosovo and albania. Went to zurich and lucern and didnt see no signs of Islam at all.

I personally do not fault the Swiss for being anti immigrant or xenophobic. I abhor the contamination of clean, western pavement civilization cities with the invasion of disgusting traditional, none conformit-ious...immigrants.I wish immigration would bring up policy where they will only allow, clean, well dressed, beautiful and handsome immigrants.
