Kinda nuts lol. My ayeyo is very ill (May Allah give her health) and my mum wants to fly out immediatley and was going to go by her self. Laakin i couldnt have my mum travelling that far alone, too risky for her, especially transit and all these issues in countries where she'll have no rights. Only remaining tickets are sunday and even thats not confirmed yet (dallo from dubai), still waiting on the agency. Tickets are ridiculous, christmas plus such short notice! i'm gonna get raped, but its worth it.
Anyway i literally got to walk into work tommorow, speak to my boss and ask for a month off (if not longer), i cant even give a return date. My boss will give the usual B.S cos its year end for our company and this is when they do all there key reporting. It looks like a case of just waking out, which sucks cos 2 years of commitment and i'll get no reference. I very much doubt i'll be allowed that long, even with circumstances, walahi cadaan people are heartless, even to their own kin.
Last 2 hrs since i came back from work been hectic:
Case of i walk in, told ayeyoo is sick, then that Hoya is looking to leave asap and i'm like hey wth i'll come cos i know my mum doesnt travel without a mahram and everyone else has got more commitments.
I aint been back home in a while, still not confirmed but i'll see inshallah. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I'm sorry about your ayeeyo. Ilahay ha caafiyo, insha-Allah. When you do something Kheyr, you always get your reward eventually, insha-Allah. Calafkaaga lee cuney. Think of it that way.

Nobleman,
You should NOT let your mum travel by herself. So what if you lose your job? What is the point of having a job if your mother's welfare is in jeopardy? Do what is right. In this case, take your mother home. I’ve seen what mothers go through while traveling abroad and exchanging flights in strange environment where they don’t speak the language to explain their simple request.
My mother, ILLAAHAY naxariistii jano ha siiyee, never travel by herself. It just NOT feel right.
Tell your boss you have a family emergency that you need to attend and you have to leave immediately. Don’t explain too much. Be confident with your decision. They might bitch about it for second but at the end, you will get your way. If you’re a real asset to the company, they will find a way to compensate you.
ILAAHAY ayaydaana caafimaad ha siiyo AAMIIN.
Enjoy your time in Hargeisa while there. This is the best time to visit since there are no reer Europe rejects flooding the streets like they usually do in the summer time
Good Luck!

Why are you guys making it look like travelling to Somalia is very dangerous?
I have been to Somalia on my own once when I was a minor (17)! Nothing dangerous about it. Same as flying from London to Paris for example.

Noble, ilaahay ha uu cafiiyo ayeeydaa.
I was in the same situation over the summer. My grandfather was ill back in Burco and my mother wanted to fly out there straight away. I had to travel with her and took time off from work. I just spoke with my boss, explained the circumstances and he was very understanding thankfully despite the fact that i couldn't give an exact return date. Once we got there, my grandfather lived for a couple of weeks.
I wouldn't have missed it for the world, a job will come and go.

Unless his mother is over 65 there should be no risk other then the plane crashing down.
