Why don't u just go buy some? So much easier. From what I remember....its Corn starch, oil, some Water and a lot of Sugar. (I'm talking a whole package.) Add safran for the red color. Stir for hours....til it gets thick and thats pretty much it. Some add peanuts too, but its always best not to mess too much with it.

That is disgusting, so basically we eating oil, sugar and water?

I have to change this and introduce diet Halwo and fat free hawlo -to save the ppl in the West.

Trust me it is not worth the time you spend stirring it and its mess You better go and buy it...

It is made of;

1. Sugar.
2. Ghee (melted butter)
3. Corn starch.
4. Cardamon.
5. Coloring(Orange) + tea
6. Nutmeg.
7. Peanuts or sesame.
8. and of course water...

kinda lol but the sugar, cornstarch, dye, violent stirring and sweat i just wanted to throw up.
