For all Somali haters

I have come across in this medium posts mocking and gleefully condemning and disregarding the efforts of the Somalis in the diaspora, by Kaafirs and Somalis who lack self-esteem, claiming we are a bunch of welfare chasers, system abusers and Qaat munching lazy butts.

I attended a conference recentlyand I had the opportunity to informally meet and have a brief conversation with someone from the State Departement, even though he didn't in his words praised the Somali community but a hint bespeaking just the same, gave me a gleamer of hope and something to be proud of.

(Don't quote me on this one) but he stopped short of telling me that the number of Somalis getting resettlement in the US will dramatically increase and they attribute that to the examples set by those who are already here. Their entrepreneurship is outstanding compared to their recent arrived counterparts, their agile and flexible nature is something to be admired.
