Landmine blast kills three soldiers in Bossasso

At least three soldiers are killed and 8 others injured in a roadside bomb blast in Bossasso, the commercial port city of Somalia’s Puntland state, officials said on Tuesday.
The soldiers were patrolling the town when their ‘Technica’ vehicle run into the remote controlled bomb, killing three on the spot and injuring eight others.
The injured soldiers are admitted at Bosasso’s main hospital while the slain colleagues are buried on Tuesday in the town.
Puntland’s Vice President Abdi Samar Ali Shire, who arrived from Hajj Pilgrimage yesterday (Monday) led Ministers in the burial of the soldiers and also visited the injured ones in the hospital.
On the other hand, hundreds of angry residents took to the streets of the town to protest the blast and the insecurity.
The blast come a day after Puntland Security Forces survived an aborted roadside bomb targeted on their vehicles.
