@Caashaqa:
"Allah promises in verse 3:185 that life in this world is an illusion, that every person shall die, and every person will receive his judgment on the resurrection day. In verse 5:26, Allah vouches that all that is on earth will perish. Allah says in verse 10:26 that He will reward the doers of good with paradise and much more; their faces will be radiant-stained. They will never be humiliated.
Ibn Kathir says that there will be no blackness or darkness on their faces. In contrast, the faces of the non-believers will be stained with dust, blackness, and darkness. On the Resurrection Day Allah will remove His veil and show His face to the dwellers of paradise. He will make the believers’ faces white."

The DARKNESS you referred is due to people their sins and the proof for this is the fact that the Prophet (pbuh) heard the footsteps of Bilaal, a black man, in heaven. Plus for the Arabs living in the time of the Prophet ( pbuh) slavery wasn’t based on race but on whether your defeat your ENEMY was captured alive or not. And anyone will agree with me that ones an enemy is defeated it is only natural to make them do compulsory work for you, and that is the simple definition of slavery. It was with the rise of the West as a superpower that Africa got singled out as the place to get slaves from. While a millions say "may Allah be pleased with him" each day when they hear the name Bilaal, Western society still believes that black people are inherently less in intelligence and have a natural urge to rape and plunder. If you look in the bible you will find the following statements about slavery: “Let all who are under the yoke of slavery regard their masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be defamed.”(1 Timothy 6:1) and “Bid slaves to be submissive to their masters and to give satisfaction in every respect; they are not to be refractory…” (Titus 2:9) If all Ethiopians on this forum were as well versed in their Bible as we are in our Qur’an they would have found the above but unlike them we will not take it out of context and just leave the biblical statement for what it is.
We do know what our religion says though.The Prophet (peace be upon him) declared: "O people! You are all from Adam and Adam was made of dust. No ARAB is to be preferred over a NON-ARAB except by virtue of his piety." He also said: "Allah does not look at your shapes or your COLORS but He looks at your hearts (intentions) and your deeds. Creatures are the dependants of Allah and the closest among them to Allah are indeed the most useful to His dependants."
I don’t want to dwell on this subject but it might be that some of the Somali bros and sisses on this website become affected by some people. When people are told these clear arguments they usually bring the 666th hadith by Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Hear and obey even if an Abyssinian slave whose head is like a raisin is placed in authority over you.'' [Al-Bukhari]
The Prophet (pbuh) is saying here that the only condition for governance should be confined(based) to Shari'ah Law and its framework with NO reference or discrimination on the basis of Geographical, tribal(for the Somalis) and ethnic background. Yes, the Prophet (pbuh) does mention the fact that some Africans have Raisin-like hair but does this mean he(pbuh) is a racist or is he just stating the difference in creation. Those with inferiority complexes about their HAIR which was created by Hollywood's standards of beauty should not see this as racism from the HOLY Prophet (saw) rather they should look at their selves and ask whether they are insecure about their beauty.
The focus of Islam in all its teachings and practices was to eradicate this practice of slavery, which was then prevailing. Now slavery has been abolished by international conventions, and this goes in line with the aims of Islam, which called for this several centuries ago.
