Serious Discussion

Post by Cumar-Labasuul »

First of all salaama caleykum walaalayaal, I want to make a thread regarding the situation our people back home are in - oh no not another thread you may say, well I just want to say my two cents thats all.
Anyway the way I see it somalia has hit rock bottom and surely it can't get any worse than it is now. Firstly the somali people don't know who to trust and they are in the middle of a power struggle. I'll begin with the TFG, I believe that these bunch of old men are all fighting for the top seat just to pocket the large amounts of $$ they will receive from the international community which is supposed to be the country's income. Whether it be Shariif or Cabdilaahi Yusuf they are all the same and the higher up you are in the TFG, the more power obssesed and money hungry they are to get to that top post. Even an idiot can realise that the TFG has no credibility in the fact that they are chosen along clan lines aka the infamous '4.5'. Also if the recent bomb in xamar was by the TFG or someone within them then this only highlights my point that they would go to any lengths to get that top seat.
Now I'll move on to Al Shabab, Xisbul Islam and all other similar groups, I am not sure what to believe about these groups because the majority of the news regarding them is either falsely misquoted or just plain lies. However there is no denying that these groups are unjust, because not even the strongest supporters of them can deny that these groups have convinced boys from the US and UK to fight in a 'jihad' or even some times blow themselves up with others - like in the case of beledweyn. Anyway what I'm trying to say is that, although lies have been said about them, they are misguided and have no plans to achieve peace in somalia. What I mean is that they do practice sharia but they don't follow it fully - they agree with suicide when it is clearly xaraam in Islam, they punished people according to the sharia but they have also included innovations such as they cut the hand of thieves but then they also take pictures of the hand pointing to the certain aayahs. Another thing is that they punish the adulterers which I agree but do they punish both of the adulterers? and do they have the four witnesses, who have never missed a salaah and have never told a lie, who witnessed the adulterers committing the act? Bear in mind this is why during the times of the prophet(SCW) that this punishment was so few because of these conditions. Even after all this, this isn't the reason why I believe that these groups aren't the solution to somalia. My reason is simple, to support a group you have to trust them fully and I cannot support a group that hide their face. If they truely believe that they are on the right path they wouldn't need to hide their faces, they only have to take an example of our beloved prophet(SCW) and his companions.

Finally I would like to give an advice to you all, me included, in that we should do our utmost best to help our people in anyway possible instead of being cyber warriors. Insha'allah we should all look to go back home at one stage of our lives to help out, those of you doing degrees use your education as a tool to help out, and those looking to go to Uni I would advise you to choose a degree that would benefit you and most importantly your people e.g. they need doctors, nurses, engineers, teachers etc.

 Excellent. Leadership capacity building is needed in Somalia. This will root out all the problems.

Omar your becoming soft. We dont care about those that dont care about themselves. Sxb dont waste anymore of your time on stuff that benefits none. If they the southerners wanted peace and prosperity, they would have it in a heart beat. But the truth is they dont want peace, and you trying to tell them how to find it is only insulting their intelligence.
I mean they dont even support the honest ambition of Somaliland getting its rightful recognition for no reason but xasidnimo. Why else would they support the OG aim of monopolizing power in a region full of other somali's but not Somaliland.

General, why do you support somaliland when the government and opposition are exactly the same as the TFG: they only care about filling their pockets and getting the top seat. Do you know that Riyaale and UDUB don't give a damn about recognition and the only reason they are pursuing it is to get a share of the pie, and that is international aid. As for all the other ministers, siilaanyo inlcuded, they were ministers in the former government of somalia and the only reason they are fighting to get the top seat of Somaliland is because they know that it is easier to get when compared to somalia as there are less candidates. Walle I don't even know if you are serious with your views or if this is all an act, because you are telling me to not care about a fellow somali in crisis.
Everything else you said is because of qabyaalad and that is somalia's problem today because they are many with similar problems as you do.

cumar I agree with you aslong as we play the swamp poltics called qabyaalad the status quo continues and the scavengers who rose to promience when the good and rightly mannered left the country rose to position they naturaly would never have held, if somali peoples eyes where open, the scavengers of the civil war are preaching to the naive that they are the bread winners and protectors of tolka by which their justyfy their happit of eating before the poor and helpless.
the whole game called somali politics is a Zero-sum game for the common man.

ps: the general snm guy repersent for me the next generation of instigators of the future civil war, the fool doesn`t know people back home are sick and tired

its a pity u all will never get it.  dont worry ---the solution to somalia is endless war, poverty and now gradually growing AIDS. When country is finished --ghost town-- the few left will build it.

Or they will learn and follow the footsteps of somaliland. they seem to have some sort of progress?

Cumar let me give you an example. If your brother is an addict and has no interest in helping himself, how can you help him kick the habit. My point is you cant help those that dont want help as much as you'd like to. As for Somaliland and its politicians, you've started parroting Darod propaganda regarding their old positions within the old regime. Alot of Isaaq people believed in the notion of Somalinimo and worked for the better of a united somalia. Thats not something you can use against them today. The only once who are a disgrace are those who jumped ship after seeing that Afwyenes regime was sinking, the opportunist within our midst. Sxb, dont believe all this united somalia crap its full of hidden agendas and it has no benefit for you. Otherwise will use your honest, compassionate, idealistic views to further themselves with no regard for you or somalia. We had your mentality when we joined the union and we sacrificed alot to try and make it work, and you know how that ended. You wish to replay that episode again, sxb are you insane.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Somalis are on a path that has no end to this quagmire. All the honest people just go about trying to help get killed by fanatics with hidden agendas and the situation has gotten way too out of hand.

Perhaps in the age of clan wars, things could have been resolved and a better future could have been worked out... but now with the groups using your religion to gain that power and money at the top of the political food chain and they themselves misconstrue the deen... all we can say is, "they are who we thought they were"

Salam.
GSNM

You know what Somaliland quest for reconigition is total legit. We could make whole thread on that.
1.We could talk about how Somaliland didn't have a voice in the Somali political areana?
2. We could talk about the horrorific bombings.the worst.the worst.
3.We could talk about how somalis were three enties djbouti, somaliland and somalia (they had different names but whatever). Djbouti went off on it's own. Somaliland and Somalia joined. Didn't work. Now Somaliland wants be it's on entity again.

the list is long
etc
etc

So yeah i get it. But I don't think that's the point righ now. No ones saying lets join together, be untied, lets join hands etc. Well i least i don't think that this is what the threads about.it's Just pointing out problems?

We all need collectively need to fix ourselves. Somalia does effect Somaliland . Doesn't it?. Lets all try not to get flushed down the toilet

Try to look at it this way. Somaliland wants to have reconigtion. They need to talk to Somalia. I'm assuming. They need to talk to someone BUT THERE IS NO ONE TO TALK TO. Somalia needs to get it's act together. If it doesn't it affects everyone .
Whats Somaliland going to do sit back and drink some lemond? how long do we wait 20, 50, 100years?
What if that place turns to dust and all there is Taliban? What if they throw explosions all over the place. More and More. What if it spreads like a virus. This is really jacked up. they're not so far away
This is everyones problem.
To be honest i don't know what Somaliland can do specificly. I'm just saying......

This off topic.I'd like to point out I have serious problems with seperation/division and I'm againest "Somalinimo" <---that stuff is poision. Somalis uniting is bad.
just my 2 cents
