I heard thousands of Somalis matched to cheer the Murder of the 10 sheikhs in support of then government. I think allah was angry and sent his punishment upon Somalia. I heard a place which the blood of justice Culumo is spilt Never gets peace.
Do you think we need to repent as a nation for the culumo Murder?

Somalis by nature are very emotional and irrational and this focker is an example. By bringing those so-called Wadaads to justice, Siyad Barre was able to completely seperate state and religion and keep these fanatics in check. There is no place for these fanatics in a civilized world other than read the Faataxo at local parties. Somalia is at the worst situation ever and it is the long-bearded Wahabi's faults.

Turkey, Egypt, and Jordan have suppressed akhwans for decades, they're doing pretty damn well if you ask me.

They were not scholars, but spies who sought to undermine the egalitarian spirit of the state and trample on the newly won rights women in Somalia struggled for.
These were not ulemas or men of religion. They were not executed because they were so or because of the civil status law. During the trial, we found out that eight of them could not read or write. We asked one of them to recite one verse of the Qur'an, but he could not.
We asked one of them to perform ablutions, and he began by washing his left foot.
One of them was not a Somali, etc.
There were two sheikhs among them and the rest were ordinary agents and subversives. We discovered that it was a wide-scale plan perpetrated abroad in accordance with specific moves and steps to take place after contacts with other bodies and organizations. There were attempts to infiltrate the armed forces and arouse its members. It was a general movement intended to topple the entire regime under the disguise of religion. It began from the mosques and moved to the streets. Its aim was to attract all forces in order to achieve its final goal.
AUN Jaale Siyaad
What has happened since the beginning is that on the occasion of the International woman’s Day,
we wanted to honor the Somali woman and restore to her all her rights and consideration

, because the Somali woman was a major pillar in our old and contemporary struggle. Without her, it was impossible for Somalia to become free. Among the highest statues in Mogadishu is the statue of a woman who was martyred in the demonstrations and battles against the Italians. It is a symbol of the Somali woman. Since our society has chosen Scientific Socialism, it must provide the woman with her full rights and equality with men.

by trying to score cheap shot they are starting to insult ALLAH and his religion.
If Allah exist he will make them taste the same medecine as those that have arrogantly dissed the quran as a "assadiroo awaleen".
meaning a backward tales of early stories

Why the shock if I call on my ancestors ? After all if Hanad_MN can blame Somalia's decline on the execution of wadaads why can't I call on my ancestors ?

What did you expect...JEFF SHARLET: Yeah, dictator of Somalia. It’s, to me, one of the scariest stories that I found in their archives. I was able to recreate this, because they dumped 600 boxes of papers in the Billy Graham archives. Siad Barre was a—not a likely candidate for Christian right recruitment, called himself a Koranic Marxist. But in the early ’80s, the Soviets had abandoned him. There had been a power shift between Somalia and Ethiopia. He was in the market for a new patron. And working through Senator Chuck Grassley, Republican of Iowa, of course still in office—
AMY GOODMAN: Talk more about Chuck Grassley, who certainly is in the news now, who, together with Max Baucus, heads the Senate Finance Committee.
JEFF SHARLET: Yeah.
AMY GOODMAN: Baucus, Democrat; Grassley, Republican. Very powerful figure, especially around healthcare right now.
JEFF SHARLET:
Indeed. And Grassley has been involved with the organization for quite some time, since the ’80s, when he traveled to Somalia to join Barre, Siad Barre, in prayer to Jesus. And he brought with him a defense contractor named Bill Brehm.
And Barre was a kind of a cynical character, as you might expect for a dictator. He was very clear. He says, “I’m willing to pray to Jesus, and here’s what I want in return.” He says, “I want my defense budget doubled.” He says, “I want meetings for my officials with the Reagan White House. And I want a sort of a hands-off policy while I crack down on some rebels.” Doug Coe, the leader of the group, wrote back, in essence, “Done, done and done.”
And when we look at history, so it was. And Barre used those weapons, supplied to him in part by the US, to wage a war of almost biblical proportion on his own people, from which Somalia has not recovered to this day. The Family doesn’t consider that a failure; they consider that God’s will for Somalia.

Excuses, look at Egypt and other countries. Worse than what Somalia ever did, yet they are much better than Somalia. Instead of constantly looking for a scapegoat like the honourable Siyad Barre look at yourselves
Nearly 20 years not one area of Somali has really progressed.
