First of all, lets go back to Sir Lug. For all people who are not familiar with odeey resident of somalinet-- Sir Lug----is an elderly charming man of a certain age. His qabil although not concretely known---one can easily surmise him to be a Marehaan.
Sir lug is a traditionalist slash Nolstagialist. He lives and breaths raw traditional Somaliniimo. He adores Somali poetry, particulary a speciality for isaaq poetry and fananiins. He is not a man who is easily charmed by western civilization. So much that he has found a passion for nigerian soap opearas dvds.A strategic move to help him cope with this Cadaan world and allow him to escapre in the jungle monkey humpings and wearing goat robes.Whether he understands these nigerians on a below average IQ relatable level one cannot judge. He is certainly not pro western people much less cadaan people. So when he came running to Somalinet to avow his love and support for this typical summer hollywood block buster, i paid attention.
"No wonder James Cameroon couldn't shelve the idea after 15 yrs even though he was told at the time that technology isn't as advanced.
The movie about the interaction between the blue humanoids with the tails and humans deserves 5/5 in my opinion. Haven't seen a movie that transports me mentally and mingles me in the characters, my 3D glasses were a plus in the blending.
If u haven't seen it, u r missing something"
"Haven't seen a movie that transports me mentally and mingles me in the characters, "
I am sure he envisioned this moment where he was this chimp with a tail ---flying ---naked---in the wild and watching the womens naked breasts and yelling klingon rants. Upon myself envisioning this image of Sir lug prancing around naked, not paying attention and just appreciating the female form--is when i was plagued with speechlessness and began laughing for no apparent reason.
Anywayzzzz........
Well-- i must say i like it for its small romantic tale that was intertwined. Very clever of them to trick me to praise it.
Overall, i thought the special effects was outstanding, the invented native or savages language creative, and the movie in the end-- had this theme of glamorizing the savage world--making it the real world as opposed when the hero first went to the jungle. Here at last---is the tune that touched Sir lug nerves. The validation that ---his long time desire to one sweet day retire in the jungle of Kismayo--along the beach next to the town of Calaanley---his long wish of his jungle world be validated with beauty -- and by everybody. Indeed Sir Lug has mentally and physically escaped to Kismayo-- and when the movie ended---he couldnt stop running and quickly typing his happiness to his fellow blue humoids creatures here in somalinet-- and spread the tribal word. Haraka Haraka---Hakuna Matata---one sweet day----ndugu we will return ! We will return!!!!
