Teenager stabs father in PlayStation row

Italian teen stabs father in PlayStation row

An Italian man who argued with his son over Sony PlayStation tactics was recovering in hospital on Monday after the teenager stabbed him in the neck with a 15-inch (40 cm) kitchen knife, police and hospital officials said. The man, identified as Fabrizio R., suffered a deep cut to the throat after his 16-year-old son, Mario, attacked him during an argument on Sunday over the soccer video game FIFA 2009.

Police said the argument broke out when the 46-year-old storekeeper offered his son advice on tactics to improve his play, and then turned the television off in response to his son's behaviour.

Fetching a knife from the kitchen, Mario stabbed his father in the neck before returning to clean the weapon at the kitchen sink in front of his mother and leaving it to dry on the draining-board. Forty-six year-old housewife Monica B,. told Italian daily Il Corriere della Sera that she had no idea what had happened until her husband stumbled into the room, clutching his throat.

"I saw Mario come back into the room, he seemed calm, he went to the sink and I noticed him washing a knife," Monica told the newspaper. "Then my husband came into the room with a hand round his neck, dripping blood."

The teenager shut himself in his bedroom after the attack and made no attempt to resist arrest, police said.

The game had been given to Mario a few days earlier, as a birthday present.

"Mario is obsessed. He's forever playing on his PlayStation, and we bought him FIFA 2009 because we didn't want him playing violent games," his mother told Il Corriere.

You all don't understand...some time ago, I was online, playing Pro Evo with some kid...I had him down 4-0 when he scores a goal...he then proceeds to instant replay his shitty goal from every possible angle. At that point, I was so pissed, he could have been my grandpa doing that shit and I'd have socked him if he was in my living room.

I dont know, but i am sort of sexually attracted to this sociopath italian teenager. He stubs his dad on the neck, walks to the kitchen to clean the knife and place it luxuriously 'leaving it to dry on the draining-board' . It shows he respects his mother's kitchen and utensils. I am soooo hot all of a sudden. :? Am i child molester?

Back in the day we would throw joysticks at each other's mouth marka ciyaarta lagaa qaadi jirey, because it's someone else's turn.

Guess I am old skool.

And grandpa would choke you to death(if he could play PS3, knocking your teeth out would be easy for him). You are right though, sometimes other players can be annoying. My cousin loves to shoot up dead guys on the ground during the game. He makes a point in collecting their weapons first, then shoots their corpses wasting bullets. What a freakish behaviour. He says he wants to have fun looking at the dead torso bounce as the bullets hit. Some of the guys in the game sometimes get trapped in a door and you can see their legs wildly kick around to free themselves, my cousin laughs at that. Fuck! it is scary to think if his psycho mentality will manifest in the real world. Makes me wonder whether video games desensatize people to suffering and death in a way. It is not healthy.

   Geo, You're very right, I noticed too that a completely different side of me surfaces when I'm gaming. For instance, I am usually a carefree person but when I'm playing a game, this weird person with a slight obsessive compulsive disorder comes out of me. This alter ego cost me a whole lot of effort the other day. There's a role playing game called Fallout 3 that I've been playing for some time. The longer you play it, the more your character levels up, with better weapons, perks and you're able to accumulate rare items and achievements. At that point, I was a level 28 and had a full arsenal, incl. mini nukes, missile launchers, custom weapons and antique guns, like Abraham Lincoln's repeater rifle. I got to this area called Vault 106, which is a strange underground vault and decided to explore it. I was right away able to get the door of the vault to open and proceeded to go in...then before I got too far in, a thought came to me and I backtracked to the entrance to ensure that the door was closed. Noticing that It was still open, I looked for a way to get it closed from the inside but I couldn't find a switch, so I went back outside, activated the switch to close the door from outside and sprinted back in. I guess I did this because I didn't want a mutant or some ghoul to come through behind me while I was deep in the vault and catch me by surprise. Sometimes later, when I was done my exploring and wanted to go back out, I find out the damn door can't be opened from the inside because there's no switch. This whole vault was designed as a human testing lab and anybody that was let in was not expected to come back out. To top it all, I only had one saved file so I couldn't load an earlier save point. The end result is months of gameplay now gone to waste because I am stuck inside a stupid vault, with no way out. I tried killing myself by blowing up a nuke at my feet, only to spawn right back inside the vault; Now, if this was the real me, I wouldn't have cared whether that door was open or closed to begin with, I'd have had not just one saved file but at least half a dozen because in real life, I'm all about contingencies, so now I'm faced with only one choice... start over from scratch...That enough to drive anybody to violence

Yes brother, there's plenty of good games but it really depends on what you're into, do you like shooters, role playing games, sports games?

You can pick from the following, I have enjoyed them and still play them from time to time.

Metal Gear Sold - Guns of the Patriots
Assassin's Creed I and II
NBA 2K(pick a year)
MLB (pick a year) the Show
Gran Turismo 5 (not out yet)
Fallout 3 (the game of the year edition is a good deal)
The elder Scrolls IV - Oblivion
Grand Theft Auto IV
Dragon Age: Origins
Bioshock
Uncharted 1 and 2
Borderlands
Call of Duty IV and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Resident Evil 5
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Killzone 2
Dead Space

If you like playing soccer, I have pro evolution but I sadly admit it sucks to play it online...the lag is terrible so you can rent both Pro Evo and Fifa before you settle on one.

Enjoy it!
