I welcome the brave and noble decision for deputy chair of the Counsil of Guurti to resign from that post. As of late, the House of Guurti has been debating about a change in its leadership of which the majority of the
MPs support. Unfortunately, the current chairman Saleebaan (The Infidel) who has lost any respect for the position and shows no respect for the Odeyasha, has been trying hard to grip on to power.

Just the other day, Saleebaan (The Infidel) tried to open a session for the House of Guurti but he couldn't because the majority of the house members refused to turn up unless the motion in discussion is the one presented by Xildhibaan Sh. Ahmed Sh. Nuux which asks the members to debate on the leadership of the house. This motion is seen by Saleebaan (the infidel) as a threat to his leadership because he knows that if it goes into a voting round, he has no numbers to stop it.

Anyways, the news that Sh. Ahmed Sh. Nuux has resigned puts more pressure on the current leadership to follow on the noble decision. We will see how it goes.

Sh. Ahmed has set a respectable example for what an elder should do in the event that arguments and disagreements persist among them. He is challenging Saleebaan (the Infidel) to follow suit and resign - sidaa ayay sharaftu ku jirtaa.

But knowing Habarjeclo and their Kursi Jacaylnimo, it is unlikely Saleeban will heed and take the noble route. For Habarjeclo, it is an inherent thing to hold on to power, just like Siilaanyo couldn't give up the chairmanship of the SNM for 5 years, when other previous chairmans held the post for 1 year each and when they were asked to leave, si sharafleh ay uga degeen.
