I have never seen people with as low self-esteem as somalis. They Always think other people's Language, Names and way of life is better than Others. Did you seen any of the Newly born somali children's names? You can't even pronounce. They would try to Make it as arabized as Possible. Not even religion Names. Some fake arabic words that they don't even know the Meaning.

I have seen

Shamhaad, hajrasaad, Zukhrifaan, , Shujrasaam, Iftaraam,acyunayn, mathaal, shabiiraan and so many fake azz names for girls that You don't know what they are? boys names are even harder.

What happened to our old Sweet somali Names? ahmed, ali, osman, mohamed, abdirahman, Luul, Nasro, haliimo, nasteexo, suuban, rahmo, jawaahir etc

all them names are on the No-Fly List, hence no parent wants to give such names to their babies.

Probably young moms. But those names beat the ghetto names 15 year old african american moms give to their kids. I saw a black kid named MTV once. And it was spelled MTV too.

You have a point, son. However, you failed when you said Ahmed, Osman etc are Somali names. Thanks whoever reminded you that names are on No-fly list.

Whatever happened to real Somali female names like: Hodan, Haboon, Ayaan,Farhiya, Sagal, Bilan, Idil,

And Somali males Names Like Liibaan, Guuleed, Raage, Looyaan, Shirwac, Samatar, Geedi, Hanad, Cigaal, etc.?

I once seen a father who named his daughter Sooda. I asked why he did that. His answer was Sooda was one of Nabi Mohamed PbH Wife's Name. But then Again, if he ever knew the real meaning of Sooda. He said he didn't know the real Arabic meaning of Sooda. Guess what the real meaning of Sooda in Arabic is"the dark skinned one".

What kind of father would name "Madoobey" his beloved daughter?.
