Having worked with and be around white people and somalis at the same time--- i noticed one GLARING difference between us and them. White people tend to be self accountable, self reponsible,community responsibility accountability, self moralistic. As opposed to somalis who tend to be individualistic, lack of self responsibility, self accountability and general moralistic as opposed to self moralistic. (the art of following religion moral by word and claim rather than action and practice) The real white man is a republican. Republican farvor personal accountability- moralistic- hard worker- capitalistic. Somalis favor --freebies, selfish endeavor--what can i gain from this? Take for example--A White man walking in the street--eating a banana--upon finishing his banana he looks around and sees no trash can--a white man will hold the banana peel until he reaches home or see a dumpster- and discards it.A somali man will look left and right to see if anyone is looking, and throw it on the ground. The white mans mentality is: Its not right to just throw it- someone can slip over it. The Somali man rationality is: its not my problem, i am not a municipal shaqaalo.One takes responsibility and the other wants to be baby-ied or policed. One is an adult the other is a forever juvenile.

And so this individualistic---or mass somali tolerating of lack of individual responsibility has caused somalis to be in this state of hopelessness. IF only every Somali would rise up and start with their community--just like in the Quran emphasizes in regards to charity--Somalis will never go any where. The only way Somalia will change or have peace- Somalis need to go under revolutionary consciousness--Each and every Somali has to personally develop a consciousness, a personal responsibility believe in- ASK not for what SOMALIA will do for you, what will you do for Somalia?

The same can be said about Malaysians, Singaporeans, Japanese, Abudabis, And Gulf-States people when it comes to clean environments and how people are keen in keeping their cities clean. Somalis are behind everyone not only Whites/white majority countries in every sphere of life. The nomadic culture is to blame.

Sorry my banana example was not to make an evironmental point but rather to emphasize how different white people think. They think and act as if they are being 'watched' all the time. There is personal accountability where as Somalis-- and yes third counties like malasians, etc etc--these poeple just are used to being corrupt--because their inner core is corrupt. A white man is likely to care about his neighborhood than a none white man. Third world countries are used to somebody doing everything for them. Even look --the first black president in the white--house--his first # 1 project is to baby sit minorities who dont have medical coverage. Instead of concetrating on jobs and promoting personal responsibility--he wants to spoon feed them with democratic love!

My point was simply -every individual should rise up and clean their inner consciousness. Start by saying- I Abdulee sheikh waraabo-- will not stand for civil war!! OR qabil! Or petty fighting! Everyone should pick a broom and start sweeping the streets of somalia.

but i still believe in our people becuase of what we used to be and the potential that we have.

do you know that during the beginings of Germany's industrialization and modernization the 1840's to 1870's
the germans had the reputation as the most laziest and unruly workers in europe.
The concept of bieng on time and a work ethic was also absent..
German products were also known to have the worst quality.
all these were inherited and today they are famous for efficiecny and hardworking.

Japan went through the same changes, the japanese did not always have the reputation they do,
Taiwan went through the same changes, i can still remember when made in Taiwan was a bad joke, but today the Made in Taiwan brand means the highest quality product.

did you know that the the japanese government was embarrased about the japanese people lack of understanding about punctuality and customer service, and they started a mass campaign to educate people about simple things like
standing in line in a queue.
All this was started a year before the 1964 olympics and it made a difference.


People in most thirdworld countries are mystified about what a queue is and express wonder and outrage when they are made to stand in line..

I see this every day here in dubai..
