Forget about secular vs. Islamist (Tfg v.s Islamist), forget about Islamist in different sects (Ahlu Sunnah vs. Akhwaan), you even got fighting between Salafi Islamists (Xisbul Islam vs. Al Shabaab). Somali religious leaders are not capable of running a modern society when their only qualification is learning couple Quranic chapters in the baadiye and the reality this is all they have in experience, couple Qur'anic chapters in the baadiye. They will never unite and never be capable of leadership because they are ignorant in everything else including proper understanding of Islamic jurisprudence.

For example, you can hate the Iranian Mullahs but at least they know science, technology, the modern world, as well as their Shia ideology but Somali religious leaders are like the rest of the Somali society..ignornat about the world, ignorant in worldy matters that matter and incapable of uniting behind a single ideology because of their general illiteracy and inability to think enlightenedly seeing as they are as uneducated as the rest of their brethren.

Voltage, you are consentrating too much on the negative side' and you totally disacknowledge
dadka Soomaalidu iney yihiin dad karti leh, wax soo saar leh, hal abuur badan, qab weyn oo han sare leh, waxna qabsan kara meel kastoo ay tagaan, sidoo kale waa dad diinta jecel oo markey wax ku qancaan ku adag, waxaana laga garan karaa sida ay dacwada Islaamka weliba Sunnada ku taagan adduun weynaha manta ugu fidiyeen, South Afrika ilaa Norwey iyo Finland waqooyiga yurub, Australia ilaa Maraykan iyo Canada, Vancouver iyo Seattle Washington, oo xaggaas Pacific Ocean aan cidi ka xigin, iyo inta u dhexeysa, intaas oo aan cagta mariyey dhul aad u fara badan lama sheegi karo dad Sunnada iyo Caqiidada toosan ku faafiyey 20kii sano ee u dambaysey sida Soomaalidu ugu fidisay. Mana Jirto Jaaliyado fac yar oo u fir fircoon Sida Soomaalidu u fir fircoon tahay, ama uga shaqaysato dalalka ay tagaan, waana midda u soo jiidda Soomaalida xasadka iyo colaadda iyo dilka lagu hayo sida South Afrika, ama cadaadiska Kenya, ama lagu arki karo meela la mida.

Reer baadiye mentality. Frankly I am tired of your kind of analysis. It is too Somali-centric and not enough Worldly. Educate your mind, read more, look outside of the Somali box and we will talk more. Ku lahaa Somali only diaspora, farac yar blah blah. Dude have you ever looked at any communities outside out of the Somali community? Your commentary reminded me of something Walad Abdllah (U.N guy for Somalia) said in Washington D.C think tank in which he said "Somalis think they are center of the universe when I soend all my energy getting people to even look at Somalia". Stop looking at things from Somali centric view point and try to be objective. We are not as important as you wish to think.

Voltage, Somalis Islamists do have some very good technocrats. Dr Cumar Iman is an example. Abu Zubair is also a graduate from Pakistan Islamic univeristy and he was reportedly one of the top Somali students, despite being the youngest. The man knows SOmali culture inside out and he knows the Arabic and Islam. There are also some others who could be more educated. I actually think Alshabab understand politics and how the world operates more than many Somali Ulema. Having said that, education in and of itself can not make up for lack of foresight and bad decision making. The Taliban are probably less educated than Somali Islamists, yet they have recently been stating how they desire to live in peace with the region and how they don't seek to attack countries. They have also amassed a pretty impressive network of grassroots support. Alshabab, on the other hand, threatens Uganda, Ethiopia Kenya, China and Mars. It's seem as though they are trying to be more Alqaeda than Alqaeda. Maybe they don't understand that everytime they threaten another country, Somalis get rounded in Yemen, Kenya or get owned in Uganda? Any talk of them uniting with XI and creating an Islamic state is just a mirage, as they only want to unite on Alqaeda Manhaj. But then they are Somalis.

You said Abu Zubayr is technocrat, the silenced Cumar Iimaan of Xisbul Islam is a scientist and Al Shabaab are full of sciencists and engineers along with Al Shabaab knowing international and world politics. I have never seen some so removed from reality to label badiye boys who memorized Juz Camma as internationally capable as this delusional mothafocker!

It's said that most of us see what we want to see and not always what's really there. Look at this photo. Do you think you see a girl with a bare butt?

Reality is not Seeing what you wanna see.

You know what? Knock your hearts out. Bunch of focking reer baadiyes. You are no different then the other reer baadiye motherfocking Somalis except their ideoligy is tribalism and yours is following baadiye boys who memorized Juz Camma but incapable of anything else.

Good luck to the Somali nation. A Nation of uneducated reer baadiyes who live in their own mythical planet.

I say fock the tribalistic warlords and their apologists and fock this reer beduin kids who memorized Juz Camma without even understanding the basic translation of Juz Camma in the Arabic language. Two sides of the donkey ass and the reason why the ignorance of both sides continues to destroy the Somali people.
