Getting into a Beef With the KFC Cashier

I almost got robbed yesterday. I am sitting through the drive thru and give the cashier a $20 bill for my food order (I was feigning some KFC fried chicken) which cost $8.25. He gives me back $1.75 in change and I tell him that I gave him a $20 bill. He denies it and says I gave him a $10. I get into an argument and pull out of the drive thru.

I walk inside the store and explain what happened. The manager tells the cashier to close the register and do a count. Ten minutes later, the cashier tells me that he did a count and found that he was over by $11.75. He looks puzzled and can't fathom how that happened. I asked him what is the difference between 20 less 8.25 and he pulls out a calculator and says $11.75. A light bulb goes off in his head and he realizes his mistake. I ask him to throw in a free snacker for my troubles and off I go, with my change and a free snack.

Walle, now days, it seems the math skills of the cashiers across all stores have dropped due to the shift to computerized cash registers. You don't even need to enter it total amounts, either it is scanned, or push a button.

The same exact thing happened to me 4 years ago in KFC, I gave the bitch 20 Euro bill and expected 10 Euros and some change back. But all I get is the chump change and not my 10 Euro bill.

So I'm like: what's this? While I'm looking at the chump change in my hand. "I gave you a 20 Euro bill"

"No you didn't". "Uh, yes I did, damn it the bill was blue not red, so it was 20 Euros."

She then called a colleague and that waterhead dude didn't even try to act neutral and told me that he could easily see on camera footage wether or not I'm lying....wtf? So he went to the back and returned just half a minute later, telling me that it was a red 10 euro bill and not the blue 20 euro bill that I gave.

I'm Somali, and these two Iranian (or whatever they were, they had a unibrow and stank) can't fool me, that dude was prolly back there counting: one potato, two potato, three potato, four... etc...while fingerfucking himself for 30 seconds.

At the end, they gave in and gave me my money, but they told me I was banned from this KFC from then on. I didn't take that ban seriously, but the next time I went there, they almost called the police on me. Even though the ban is of course bullshit legally, I'm not going to war for some chicken, so I just left not willing to make a scene in a fried chicken joint of all places..
