The Italian would push him to the limit, twice a day practice. He's got his idol,Viera, in the locker room learning few tricks. Most of all he is way way cool and composed. He will do great.

Here you could see Ibrahim breifly in the highlight just before Skertel pushes Adebeyor, 04:24. He only played 13 minutes.

Viera is serving a three game suspension so Ibrahim should get more playing time.

Italian football might not be a good place for africans to develop their game, Balotelli's treatment case in point. Daud should be looking else where either Portugal or Turkey to get some first team action. Juve is said to be loaning Daud to Serie C team.

Kenyan PM rues missed Man City deal for local lad

Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga said Tuesday he did all he could to have a highly-rated Kenyan international midfielder McDonald Mariga signed with the English Premier League side Manchester City.

Mariga's transfer to Manchester City floundered after being denied a work permit. He would have been the first player from the Premier League-mad east Africa country to sign for the top English league.

"I spent a minimum of three hours on phone talking to Gordon Brown's office, the Africa Office, office of Culture and Sports, the Home office and to Mariga himself," Odinga said in a statement.

"I would like to assure soccer fans and all Kenyans that together with the British High Commissioner to Kenya Rob Mcaire, I have done what I could to get Mariga into Man City FC and all is not lost," added Odinga.

Odinga, an avid footballer, said 22-year-old Mariga had obtained a work permit and could join the Premier League in the next transfer window in May.

News of Mariga's transfer bid to Manchester City sparked excitement and made headline news here.

Italian Seria A Inter Milan on Monday signed up Mariga on a four-year contract from Parma.

 Politicians are always politicians they don't trust talent. It is official, it is history and Ibrahim is the first East African to play in the EPL. I wonder what the Kenyan papers will say tomorrow.

Local minded people

Ibrahim's history is your history and nobody should care what part of Somalia he is from. Somalis are proud of him, the Norwegians who adopted him are proud of him.

Ayub Daud in a game last year, I believe his debut. Almost made a goal

He has mad talent, but Juve didn't do a good job of utilizing him. But he's still young and insha'allah he will become a shining star

Masha'allah to both ibrahim and dauud, I believe that ibrahim has the advantage because he is at a team which isn't the biggest clubs of europe, so he will have more of a chance to play
