Asalaamu alikum peeps!

Okay, confession time. I have a thing for 'height' and when I say height, I mean 'tallness.' I fuss about it all the time, keep thinking that I'm actually tall, when in fact I'm not. At All! Anywho, my mum likes tall people, she is tall herself, and always going on about how she should have given me more milk and I would've grown up to be a tall girl etc etc. There was a time in my teenage years I started to shoot, and everyone kept on commenting on that (ugh, did they say maashallah?) but somewhere I stopped.

Ala kulli xaal, I always thought I was 5'6, and then I measured myself using a measuring tape, and lo and behold I find out I'm 5'5 I'm gobsmacked and quite frankly not happy! Yesterday I go to Boots and then measure myself again, thinking this is a state of the art machine, sod that tape. I find out, I'm 5'4.9" (nearly 5'5, but still) I just couldn't believe it!!!!!!!! NOOO! This bloody machine should be telling me I'm 5'6! What the heck? I'm thinking at this point, a malfunction happened. No worries, I go for a second try, and I get 5'4.5! *At this point I should've fainted* but I just leave, feeling desperately sorry for myself.

Conclusion: Alhamdulilah ala kulli xaal!

Lol...I once thought i was tall too until my GP broke the news that i was 5"6. I blame my short friends for my false expectations lol..

Why is it weird, I used to think I was tall, thats why I liked tall people Thats the only discrimination that I do, and I'm not ashamed of, tall people rock.

Yeah, I googled it then found out it was the average height for most females around the World. I got abit happy then. How sad. Yes, what really matters is the heart, I just can't answer how big is your heart? lol

Looks is what Allaah SWT gives people.. Height is one of the gifts that contribute to the beauty. That is why most people love to be tall. I love people who are proportionately tall. It is not a beauty to have long legs and short back. long arms hanging somewhere like a gorrila..!!If a women is above 6' she will be "geel camal"

Warsan Star, Cheer up sister, if you think about it, of the chinese population in the world, you are taller than at least half a billion of 'em, and you're eyeball to eyeball with another quarter of a billion...add most other indhoyars, the mexicans, the phillipinos, our ethiopian and eritrean cousins, the hutus and twas of rwanda/burundi and their bantu kins in congo, the pygmies, the Khoisan, all the indigeneous people of of the americas from the inuit of the canadian arctic to the naked savages in the amazonian jungles, the wandering gypsies of europe, the darker indians and the sri lankans, the elderly people of the world (80 years +)...put it all together and I'd say the overwhelming majority of these people waad ku dul casheyneysaa so alxamdulilaah iska dheh!
