Total medals won= USA no 1 . Hockey is to Canada what basketball is to the US.When was the last time Canada has been challenging. the US in basketball? The fact that the US hockey has beat Canada is big enough a shame for all of you to keep it on the low . Hockey is Canada national pride, they invented it and it's their only sport. lool off course they should have won the gold hands down. The united states doesn't put much emphasis on Hockey, because Football, basketball, and Baseball are all ahead in marketing than Hockey. No one really cares about a game involving rubber puck and bunch of toothless dudes in skates chasing around it. The only states that play hockey in the U.S are the northern states like Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan and colorado. They won silver, which is pretty darn impressive.

Beat the U.S in something important like Basketball then gloat about it.

The united states won the overall medal counts both in winter and summer Olympics which tells you that U.S.
