i was bored outta my mind and i did some research on the free masons
Free-Mason=
Who are the Masons?
The Ancient and Accepted Order of Freemasons comes to the United States by way of England centuries ago. It was imported right along with the early rulers of the 'New World.' In fact many of the founding fathers of this country were members of the Masonic Order according to their own records. The Boston Tea party is actually attributed to an act of the Boston Lodge of Free Masons on the very night when they were scheduled to have a meeting in their lodge. According to records their lodge was 'dark' (meaning that for some reason no one was there) on that very night.
They also assert that George Washington was a Mason and they used to hang his picture (wearing a Masonic white apron) in many of their gathering places.
Incidentally, I was told by a man very high up in the Masonic Order, that in fact George Washington did not actually become a Mason. He did say that most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were either Masons or else they were Christian Ministers.
Early schools in the New World had no place to meet as the public school system was not yet established. Masons were well known to let the schools meet in their lodges during the day. That is how the picture of George Washington became a part of the early school system.
Next question:
Where did the Free Masons actually originate?
According to their teachings and memory work in the lodge, their fraternal order has its origins in the building of King Solomon's Temple. But according to actual records, it appears that they started as they are now anyway, in England several hundred years ago. I once had in my possession a book written about 150 years ago by an expert of Freemasonry, who was trying to give some history of the order. Although he did not reveal any actual parts of the 'secret work' of the order, he did give a seemingly accurate account of the proceedings and events which were known to him.
Keep in mind that these are the men who came to this country and found natives here who were to help them and even save them from eminent death. Yet these same folks turned on them and killed them and even skinned them. The practice of taking people's scalps did not originate with the Native Americans. It was a practice of the Colonizers to skin their enemies to show their superiority, but in the case of the natives here, they said they were not worth the bother, so they only removed a portion of their scalps. The natives then, simply retaliated. Strange how history when written by the victor becomes "His Story."
Another interesting historical event attributed to these same people, is that they were sent to this country at the behest and in the trust of the King of England. Yet they betrayed that trust and declared themselves independent of the British Kingdom and even killed their own countrymen and relatives in order to gain full control of the New World.
Of course, we cannot say that all of these men were Masons. Nor can we say that all the Masons participated in these acts of violence and corruption. But it would be foolish not to consider their history in dealings in the formation of this country and how they have been known to use the logic of "The End Justifies The Means." (this an actual quote of former President Richard M. Nixon, a Mason, when he was trying to defend the actions that brought him down out of power while in office).
Next question:
What do they believe?
All Masons accept that there is only one God. Although they refer to Him as the Supreme Architect of the Universe. The Holy Bible, especially the Old Testament (the Torah) is held in high esteem and must even be present and open on a raised book stand in the center of the lodge room in order for their meetings to be consider being conducted properly.
In order to be a mason, a man (no women) must already be a Jew or a Catholic, or a Protestant, or an Orthodox, or a Coptic Christian. I did not mention Muslim, because if a Muslim were to enter into Masonry he would be placing his Islam in a very poor position due to their belief in the Bible. There are parts of Masonry that do hold the Quran as having at least some "Spiritual Wisdom." For instance the 'club house' for the Masons, called the Order of the Mystic Shrine, uses the Quranic verse "If they come in peace, greet them in peace." And the words "From the Holy Quran" on their plaque which they so prominently displayed in their offices and dens for all to see.
Another question:
Do they control the politics in this country? (or any country)?
Probably not. They did at one time in this country have a tremendous influence on the national politics. However, they still have a very strong influence on what happens in many of the smaller and regional elections, depending on the actual number of Masonic constituents who might reside there and have businesses and professional practices which might lend some influence toward election of officials.
Next question:
What is their role and condition here in this country today?
What I know to be factual is that the early Masons in this country were very active and were involved as I have said earlier in the American Revelution. Some even attribute the 'Midnight Ride of Paul Revere' to the Masons. It is highly possible that these men were all in the Masonic Order. They used to come out to their lodge meetings in big numbers. But in the last century their numbers fell drastically and their activities became almost nothing in most parts of the country. Their membership has fallen sharply for several reasons. One is that they do not recruit members. They can't because their whole Order is secret and you cannot tell anyone anything about it, without fear of severe penalty, even death. This is actually in their teachings. A person has to come to them and ask them how to join. Then and only then, is it allowed for them to explain to him what to do next. He fills out a petition to the lodge and then several Master Masons have to recommend him to the Order. He must wait for a period of time and then he will be initiated into the Order according to their rites and rituals. There are three stages that he will progress through and these can take from 2 months for each stage, or even one year each. This depends largely on his ability to memorize their doctrine and teachings. Everything is mouth to ear and nothing is to be written down.
After the end of the Korean Conflict (1950s), the Freemasons began to see a decline in new members. By the time of the Flower Children and Hippies, their recruits really began to fall off. And then when the technologies of the last part of the century hit, it really caused the Masons to fall in numbers all over the country. Young people today are not interested in sitting in a stale old hall, listening to very old men try to remember what was said last month about who died and who dropped out due to non-payment of monthly dues. In short, it is TOO BORING.
Another question:
What is their role world wide?
That you would have to ask someone who has experience with the world wide effort of the Free Masons. I have shared with you what I have from actual close up, first hand knowledge and I did not speculate on areas where I only had ideas or doubts. If you want me to guess, I will say that the role the play world wide is probably somewhat different than the role of the Masons here in this country.
And as always, Allah knows best.
