Because al-shabaab allowed itself to be used as an instrument of Mj destruction and spiteful hate towards Hawiye
Al-shabaab has committed massive genocide in Mogadishu against Hawiye women and children on the charge that they were fighting Ugandsens, fine. But then they started suicide bombers and assassinations in central somalia where various hawiye clans reside. Now what justification did shabaab have to attack peaceful central somalia and not Puntland.
Al-shabaab claimed that ASWJ were allied to the ethiopians. But Excuse me, is not Puntland the biggest ethiopian prostitute.
Did it not hand over and assassinate several somali's at ethiopias request and order.

So the Hawiye clan became very angrey that this favoutism that shabaab which is dominated by daroods choose to follow.
Haber Gider under the ASWJ banner waged war on al-shabaab and gave them crushing blows all over central somalia. Haber Gider the champion of Hawiye rallied the people to not accept shabaab that protects the D&M clans but has no mercy for hawiye.

When shabaab always attacks Galkayo it only attacks south galkayo and ensures to never cause damaged to north Galkayo.
For those of you who do not know south Galkayo is populated by hawiyes whilst North Galkayo is populated by Daroods
Shabaabs favoritism is shameful and has already brought on their fall and made hawiye run into the arms of the TFG and allied ASWJ.

A year ago shabaab was like thee strongest movement in somalia because hawiye's believed that this group would protect them and look after them. No sooner had this changed when shabaab declared that all Haber Gider officials within the islamic courts would be killed. This was a shock to many and some said that the group had become hijacked by daroods and members of the D&M. Another blow came is when they killed Col. Omar Haashi and a hundred others in the most cowardly manner.
Then they killed Prof. Adoow and 18 Medical doctors in Mogadishu, again in the most cowardly manner. That was the day Hawiye screamed and screened for revenged on the darood dominated shabaab that had used such a group to spiteful with true evil hate attempt to genocide hawiye out of existence
That was also the day Shabaab became the hunted in Hawiye lands, there is no way a shabaab can walk in Mogadishu around in central somalia and Mogadishu today without fearing for he's life

galia, that map is very inaccurate it is saying UIC and Al shabab are seperate entities the UIC has dissolved and Al shabab is ruling those areas

That UIC is Hizbul Islam group that was loyal to the UIC but refused to join shabaab, Shabaabs at war with Hizbul Islam as it wrestles with it to be the only rebel group.
Any you get a good idea of how small al-shabaab really are and that they control very little hawiye land

Al shabaab doesn't control more land than the gov of Somalia, that is not true .
It is the al shaytanis not so clever propaganda that states so. Puntland alone which is an entity of the Somali Republic has more land under their control than Al Shabaab .
Now if you add to the mix ALL the somalis opposed to the al shaytanis VS the dog lickers themselves , we successfully manage more territory than the terrorists .

f-king dumb isaac, compare the areas that al-shabaab don't control to the areas they do and you would realise what a small area they control. Add somaliland, puntland, Galmudug, ASWJ areas and Mogadishu, Hizbul islam controlled areas.
Then you would truly realize what a small area these people control
