Independence: Political gain for Maakhir (Kingdom)

The only former region joined Somalia that can probably justify its case to reinstate independence and secede from Somali.
Maakhir has strong historic ties to Hadramut and the gulf, a Arab state in its own right. Semi-sovereign during British protectorate with the gulf states Maakhir was part of the Arabian circle of states where the british had colonial ties.
Would Somali's continue to resent Arab supremacy if a nation bordering there's gained support from the Arab states to push for a Arabized independent Maakhir?
