Are Somalis partially responsible for Rwandan genocide?
I was watching a documentary on it and they mentioned that Clinton administration were reluctant to intervene because of the humiliation they received in Mogadishu (dragging of the American soldiers) this allowed the Hutus to continue..?

Anigu I will say this .I don't know if the somalis are responsible for what Clinton may or may not have had in mind , but I seriously think that the dragging of American soldiers in the streets of Mog , disrespecting of the dead and the intent to inflict an abnormal humiliation has had its share of Godly consequences on the ground ...in Somalia's capital that is .

Somalis ended the Rwanda Genocidegrandpakhalif wrote:I was watching a documentary on it and they mentioned that Clinton administration were reluctant to intervene because of the humiliation they received in Mogadishu (dragging of the American soldiers) this allowed the Hutus to continue..?
General Aideed flew undercover to Uganda where he met museveni and organised a counter offensive against the Hutus.
Its Aideed's ingenious that pushed back the advancing hutus(to Uganda) back to Zaire.
Alot of Hutu corpses were floating in the L Victoria.
Thats why Tutsis love somalis also not to forget is Eritreas contributution to the war they helped the Tutsis against the Hutus.

Gen. Aideed was a Hutu, why would he attack his own peoplein Rwanda?The_Patriot wrote:Somalis ended the Rwanda Genocidegrandpakhalif wrote:I was watching a documentary on it and they mentioned that Clinton administration were reluctant to intervene because of the humiliation they received in Mogadishu (dragging of the American soldiers) this allowed the Hutus to continue..?

Somalis didn't wave the machettes, Rwandans did. Africa needs to take care of their own mess. The United States will only follow its own foreign interests rather than African interests.
