Can someone direct me to an Islamic ruling on this subject or share what they know.

Cus I know some people who have unfortunately went through with it and their main argument was "it's ok aslong as u do it before the 40 day mark, before life is breathed into the fetus".

On a serious note, from what I've read only when the mother's life is in danger is abortion allowed. But I think it's best if you ask your local Imaam.

I hate to say this but I believe alot of Imams atleast the ones I dealt with are not upto bar or need more cilmi in both religious and hot button issues. Basically I wont be satasfied with their answers. However I was hoping some people here could direct me to research that was done or the rulings of many top culimas etc.

Yes...on some issues I believe forumers have more indepth knowledge than some imaams that's why I asked.

Advo if you go to the kent masjid the Imaam there I know very well, alhamdulilha is no more than 26 and hes teacher is Shaykh al-Habib 'Umar bin Hafiz in Tarim, Hadramaut in yemen Founder of Dar al Mustafa

If the Imaam doesn't know he can ask the Shaykh for you and get an aswer for you in a couple of days
