Somalia: Government condemns London bombings as barbaric
Sun. July 24, 2005 02:25 pm.

PM Ali. M. Gedi
On behalf of Somali people and government, Prime Minister Mr. Ali Mohamed Gedi condemned London terrorist attacks as "barbaric" in a letter he sent to British Prime Minister, Mr. Tony Blair. SomaliNet got hold of the prime minister's condolence letter.

Ref: OPM/122/05 Jowhar, 23rd July 2005

H. E. Tony Blair
Prime Minister
London - United Kingdom

Your Excellency,

It is with a great sorrow to know about the terrorist and barbaric actions which took place recently in your beloved country causing deaths and wounds of innocent citizens.

In this respect, on behalf of the Transitional Federal Government and the People of Somalia, I take this opportunity to extend our deepest condolences to the families, friends and relatives of the victims as well as your Government and people.

However, it is also worthwhile to appeal all the world leaders to join efforts and work hand in hand to combat against terrorism in all its forms in order to allow the world communities to live in peace, liberty and prosperity as a global obligation.

Please accept, Your Excellency, the assurances of my highest considerations.

Ali Mohamed Gedi
The Prime Minister

Bismillah,

Why don't they worry about our own problem first instead mingling about the outside world problem??

"Your Excellency,"

Addressing the master Kaafir.

"However, it is also worthwhile to appeal all the world leaders to join efforts and work hand in hand to combat against terrorism in all its forms in order to allow the world communities to live in peace, liberty and prosperity as a global obligation."

Offering assistance to his master how could the young pet could take a rolle fighting the "terrorism" and joing along with the rest of the world pets (among the Dabadhilifs Group).

These types of gevernment don't represent me nor should they represent for the rest of my fellow country men and women.

Expressing sympathy and empathy doesn't require to be in the name of a nation, society, but could be an individual human gesture. Whether atrocities happen to civilians in Somaia, Iraq, Darfur, Bosnia, Palestine, London, Sydney, always I express my sympathy to all of them. These people have invited us to their countries when they saw of our collective suffering in the hands of our own people, and do we have to reward them by not expressing our personal sympathy when their civilians have been killed by "terrorists"? Some here preach Islam is peace and don't act upon it, and that is sad.

Mowhawk: Here, mate, I find a reasonable point of view by a good man, as you are. As Basra said in her post, it's a matter of being sheeps following a shepherd, you name it Bush or Bin Laden. Cowboys or Indians. Like the Far West movies. The goodies and the badies.

I don't buy that shit.

The London attacks are making more harm to the muslim community that the Western people. The so-called-muslims in the name of 'their islam' are harming muslim people, in the same way that Bush is speaking 'in the name of democracies', or talking about 'freedom' or 'our way of life' or 'democracy'.

I love democracy because I live in a free country in which I can go to where I want, I can do what I want and I can live my life according to my own values. I just can do what I want. That's all.

I think that a free country is that kind of a country in which you can do what you want. Period.

USA, in my opinion, crossed the red line on Irak. I stated it before in other posts, but USA, with Bush ahead, stirred up a hornet's net.

And you can't complain if you're bitten by the hornets.

Once said this, and in the same proportion, just in the same balance, muslims living in the West can't complain about being victims or mistreated by European Police.

I read an article today written by a muslim guy who was saying that it's no time for muslims to complain, but to cooperate, to help. It's really sad news reading here people making jokes and having fun about terrorist attacks, because those ones who are supporting it, they have much anger and hate in their souls. They're not really muslims, but mad people.

I never cheered at a bombing in Baghdad. Otherwise, I felt really really sad about bombing Baghdad. I have my children there. I love them.

But, what is so sad for me is reading post of people feeling happy, having fun, about terrorist attacks in London, Madrid, et al.

I would like to introduce these so-called-muslims, talking in the name of Islam, the religion of Peace, to these people, the people who suffered the terrorist attacks. To meet this innocent victims, and allow them to tell us, The West: "Yes, we have killed you because you killed my ancestors".

Once said this: An European is not allowed to visit Somalia. He will be beheaded inmediately in Somalia, because he's white.

A Somali has all the rights to live in Europe. And money. Even if he kills an European.

That makes the difference in a order or two...

Kamal

How are you going saaxib? I haven't read your post but will read soon Inshallah and get back to it. But before I go, there are too many angry people (state and non-state actors) out there who want to hurt others. Muslims are diverse, and anyone can commit crimes and claim on behalf of religion, just like any religion. But, I'm interested if they can articulate and debate it. Peace to the whole world.
