Kaplan's mediocre in comparison to Princeton Review.

Rule of thumb: Kaplan tends to be easier than the test; Barron's tends to be harder than the test; Princeton Review is the test.

I have dealt with with Princeton Review in the past, can't really say much about Kaplan. Signed up for a 4 week review session with them, coughed up some hefty fees, but it was worth it.

It depends on what you're preparing for? GRE? LSAT? MCAT? GMAT? Are you asking about their Study Guides? Exam crackers? Review books? Tutoring & Review sessions?

U reconfirmed what I was thinking, I. The Barron's was just too wordy. Not bad in substance, but not the best ref. book. When compared, the Kaplan seemed to explain it slightly better than the Princeton, but stopped short at the consistency of how they explained the concepts. By the Way, take a look at the ETS site. Their examples are like pages ripped outta the Princeton book. I''m guessing it's a keeper then. Thanks.

Kolombo, the books. I've got buddies who did the 800 bucks for 4 weeks classes as well...only to end up gettin about 50-100 points higher..Pfft. I'm either waay too smart, or waay too cheap for that, and could prolly do better solo. (Guess We'll see after my test eh? :)).
