Hello Somalis... your take on Socotra islands

Post by Cirwaaq »

Your take on the Somali Liberation of the Socotra Islands?

Socotra lies 200Km of the Coast of the horn of africa and 400Km of the Arabian peninsula. Population is a mix of Arabs, somalis afro-arabs Srilankans/south asians and some whites.

Socotra makes the 6th region of somali ancestral lands. There are a total of 4 islands.

appreciate any input

Seriously, what's with the flag? Who are you trying to irk with David's star?

Who cares about Socotra islands? Somalis can't even manage the 5 pieces they inhabit now.

Pretty soon US will establish a base there. Historically did Somalia claim the islands?

Somalis used to travel to yemen some 400km away so why not the socotra only 200km of the horn of africa. Somalis were the first people to inhabit the islands.

There are a total of 6 ancestral somali regions HENCE the 6 pointed star :D

Before anyone starts The so called Star of David was orginal a Muslim symbol and only recently adopted by a non-muslim people.

Correction; the distance from Somalia (i.e. Berbera) to Yemen (i.e. Aden) is some 200km or less.

Cirwaaq...And your sources are?

I don't have a problem with the star of David, as we (muslims) also claimsDavid/Da'uud (scw) as one of our Prophets. The point is that that symbol is now used by an apartheid regime which opresses Muslims. Let's go with your argument that Muslims once used the symbol, which Muslim group does now? Your utlization of the symbol here is nothing more than a provocation tool. Unfortunately for you, we have seen worse tactics on these forums and all you are doing is undermining your arguments/posts as most will only see you as a polarizing figure. :)

Cirwaaq...I'm not. Being provocative is my hobby so i know when i see a fellow trouble-maker.

The way you came out of the nowhere with inane discussion topics, you are either the bored whale AKA Basra or another provacatuer.

We are still waiting for your sources, btw.
