Dear All,

Nomad Radio (www.nomadradio.co.uk) is a young, independent and innovative radio station designed to promote and represent the unique spirit of the Somali Community in the UK. Our aim is to promote the inclusion of Somalis in the media. As you all know there’s a real need for centralised form of communications. We would make sure that serious issues facing Somalis today would be aired and brought to light. Provide a platform for ethnic minorities to express their worries and concerns and promote community cohesion.
Our vision is to be the number 1 source of information and entertainment for Somalis in the UK by providing credible, unbiased, reliable and quality entertainment and information. No other Somali radio station delivers such as wide range of programs specifically designed for the ever growing Somali community in the UK.
Nomad Radio is pleased to give anyone interested in social & current issues/politics a chance to present on our social& current shows & current and radio production. We are currently recruiting for numerous presenters for our Social & Current issues category.

This could be an opportunity to enhance your research skills. This role will involve the applicant:
• Working with your producer to create shows.
• This role will involve a maximum of 4 hours work which includes working from home.
• Being a creative person with bags of energy, enthusiasm and superb team working qualities, highly motivated, adaptable, willing to contribute to the team, be able to speak fluent English, excellent interpersonal skills, have good communication skills and be able to deal with a wide diversity of people both confidently and professionally and have basic IT skills.
• Having exceptional editorial judgment and being able to spot the range of stories that matter most to our audience, and know how to turn them into the sort of output that makes a great impact.
• Experience would be ideal but isn’t essential as training will be provided.

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience working in a radio station. At present this is a voluntary position, but it is set to change sometime in the year.
