A lot of women are going for hyphenated or mash-up names, like Bailey-Rae or Bae in that case. Problem solved

i thought the same thing til i noticed they still cook, wash, have babies, do the grocery, prefer to stay home with their kids if they didnt have to work for living, or if there husband made enough money (you would be surprised how much well off people stay home and raise kids), the name was just the pudding.

Hence the title "Ms." and the option of the offspring having a combination of the mother's and father's surnames. I wonder if there is a hadiith that makes it compulsory for children to specifically take just their father's surname.

it will make perfect sense for offspring to take their fathers name as he is bin-Adam--the first human to be on earth, therefore by seniority takes prescendent over the woman.

anyways, feminism know they are in a losing battle, wouldnt they still end up with a men name, i am sure her mother is not from Mars. you either take the name of your husband, keep the one, who did your mother

“Call them (adopted sons) by (the names of) their fathers, that is more just with Allaah…” [al-Ahzaab 33:5]. surrender r u quoting hadith or an athoropoligist? Seems like u quoting from a evolution excerpt more than hadith, the father taking risk or protecting his clan etc etc etc

Basra if you read about society in the last century then you will understand why they became the way they are. Every movement is just a reflection of what it is fighting, so if something is harsh then people will repel it equally harsh.
In my American History class we went over popular culture and the psychological submission of woman and fitting them to defined roles. How a woman should be happy in the home, raising the kids, do whatever it takes to make her husband happy, giving up her life for him, and if she wasn't happy in this specific defined role then she could be clinically diagnosed insane
.
They were oppressed by extremists, so they fought it by being extreme.

thats some sheekhs' opinion i guess, the first one is a ayat in Suratul ahzaab, and the second is a hadith.
heres more if you want
in the Quran, "Proclaim their (children's) real parentage." 33:5 (Pickthall's translation). Our Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said "whoever intentionally related himself/herself to someone else instead of their father, Paradise is prohibited for him" Bukhari and Muslim.
or
Al-Bukhaari (3508) and Muslim (61) narrated from Abu Dharr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: “Any man who knowingly attributes himself to someone other than his father is guilty of kufr. Whoever claims to belong to a people when he has nothing to do with them, let him take his place in Hell.”
what i've notice in western culture is that they have no respect and/or give credit to fathers. we shouldnt be like them. girls keep your fathers names. learn it all the way down to the 15th. be proud. never take husbands' surname.
