I can’t wait until they complete Dubai. It’s only like 15% complete with all the construction going on. I went there early 2007 and was amazed. This is going to be playground for the rich and famous when it’s all completed. It will be the capital city of the world.

But the funny thing is, I only saw East Africans, Indians and South East Asians when I was there. The only time I saw an Arab was on TV and at the airport.

It is stunning. Everything is bling bling. I would love to be in that environment. :D WAIT......... NOT ......First of all, notice the number of high rises business buildings is few---this shows how lazy the arabs are, they are not productive. Oil trust fund kids. Second of all, look at their malls--Yes it is a marvel of architecture, and thats it. How can a mall look like a national scientific spectacular musuem than an actual solemn mall. A mall is a sacred place. Life has to exist. This mall has no life. Zero. There is no display of fashion, the patrons are not really in touch with trends, i dont see any star bucks. Its lifeless.

Last but not least---i must say.....i like they roads. So brand new and amazing. Not even a single hole. Its a work of art. Even the painting of the white on the road signs is amazing. The brand new cars driving on top of them, it looks like rodeo o drive in beverly hills. Amazing.

Yeah. I remeber me and my bros were playing a game of "spot the arab". Once you come out of the madaar/airport, they are like an endangered species. I couldn't stand all the annoying indians  .

I take all this flashy stuff for granted

One thing I hate about that new Burj Dubai tower (the world's tallest building) is that you can’t escape it, it’s everywhere, ruins the entire city skyline.

Even from my window view I can see it, that’s how large it is..

Trust me that's a good thing. That building is beautiful, a testiment to modern engineering  .

BTW You live in dubai? I thought you lived in abu dhabi? I am think ing of moving there or Doha Qatar after my studies. My father keeps pressing me to go Doha due to Familial and tribal connections there. But I think it's a quiet, boring city. Not like the hustle and bustle of Dubai.

Yeah, they're everywhere in the gulf.

Dubai is nice and all, but it doesn't seem to have any culture. It just exports it from other countries.
