I've noticed a pattern where darood forumers take pride in naming their imediate sub clan when being asked about their clan by other somalis.
For me as a northerner and we are may I say closest to original Somali culture and norms, a very wrong and boastful answer.
The tradition says reply by your major clanfamily and when asked further you give your sub clan and when asked even further you provide sub sub clan if you hail from a famous clan and at very last lineage if the person asking is close to you .
This is our way of greeting.
Hawiya , Isaaq , Dir knows this practice very well .
I take offense if being replied back with imediate sub clan , a very ugly trait this is .
As it would imediately give me a bad impression of the person, switched around it's a tool to detect qabilists -
Dooros seems to more ignorant
