The Shabaab have been very lenient with the new development. Are they dispersed throughout Gedo? Or are only in main cities?

They are everywhere. Shabaab is ideology, not a group. Walaalkaa baa Shabaab ahaan karo. However even though they made peace, they prevent NGO's and outside investment from flowing in. If this peace was made by a normal maamul, the U.N would be back in a day and we could take advantage of them and NGO's to fund us like they do Somaliland and Puntland.

MashaAllah...beautiful mosque...but instead of spending all that money on masaajido, why not build a hospital? Massajid doesnt need to be as grand as this, and Im sure they couldnt gotten by with the other Masjids they have already (that is an assumption based on other areas, Im not actually certain how many masjids they have)...A hospital soon inshaAllah....or at least medication that isnt out of date.

There is nothing better to build than a masjid. As for hospital, what about Liibaan modern hospital that was built last year in nearby Garbahaarey?

Im not saying they shouldnt build mosques, or that Mosques arent a great investment....Just that priorities should be clear.

The only functioning hospital I saw in Garbahaarey was the old government one, and they did not have enough medication to go round for the simplest of ailments. Mothers die unnecessary deaths day in day out because of a lack of hospital facilities, midwives and a sanitary environment. People are still dying of malaria and other curable illnesses, babies do not have clean water to drink (the salty water is obviously a no no and the other water is for sale)...Im just saying that Gedo has a serious supply shortage of health services and that as great as mosques are, people need to be taken care of in other spheres more urgently.
