Press Release Somali community Birmingham

Post by Otali »

as a violent backlash continues against innocent somalis living in the Uk for reasons they do not understand, for a cause which is not their own, the anger of decent somali communities grows every day, now in Birimingham and elsewhere they denounce the arab-paki terror Exclamation

Press Release Somali community Birmingham

Date: 29/07/05

The Somali community like any other community in Britain were shocked and appalled by the horrific action of the terrorists on the 7th and the 21st of July in London. The Somali community vehemently denounces such a barbaric act and would like to express our collective condemnation of such an inhumane act.

We believe that terrorists do not differentiate people in terms of colour, faith, race etc. and their only aim is to kill and maim as many innocent people as they can. People of all colours and faiths need to reject and unite against this evil and we should not allow their actions to divide us.

The Somali community is a law abiding community and we pledge ourselves to work closely with the authorities to show our gratitude to the British people.

The Somali community is also concerned as to how some sections of the media are linking the issue of terrorism to that of ingratitude by refugees and asylum seekers.
