This is a desperate plea to get British Somalis voting, especially the young and the students. More than ever this election year matters. Majority of UK Somali families are emerging into the economy, buying homes, paying student loans and setting up businesses. We are second generation and we need to identify ourselves as Brits and claim our share. You might think who is in government won’t affect you, but com’on, this year’s battle is all about the working class, and Somalis are working class.
Also I’d like to stress that labour needs our vote, some crazy reason working class voters are forgetting the benefits they got for past 10 years. The crash and the war has distorted people’s views and no-one sees the reality.

Cameron will increased VAT which will hit working class (students in particular) much more than anyone else, cuts in public services in order to reduce inheritance tax on the wealthiest estates in the country and the raising of taxes on the low and middle bands to fund a tax cut for those earning £150k and above. This includes the NHS, Education and community funding and benefits. Life will be ten-times harder under the Tories.

Lib dems is a wasted vote in my opinion, but anything is better than voting Tories.

Vote Labour. Brown might be ugly but he’s honest and he is qualified for the position.

And most of the somalis in the U.K are underclass they can't earn nothing but other people's cutted tax benifit.
And many of them are european citizen they come from Scandinavia,Holland and other parts of Europe they have the right to vote.

*kidding* vote people, it is your right and duty. I'm still reeling from the mess Boris made of this fair city of mine, ran it to the ground and no-one is ripping in to him for it. When Ken did anything good or bad, the papers would hate him for it. Shows us that true democracy is still out of reach. I live in a place where there is a huge Somali community and my favourite shop is owned by Somalis. I visited them the other day and they say they might have to close soon due to the VAT rise, they just can't cope
