By inserting the word 'federal' the TFG is hanging to the last vestiges of what died in 1991. Clearly, they are not in touch with reality and unaware of the 'facts on the ground'. Not only does Somaliland not come under this flawed and illusory policy but its legitimacy is derived and built on the consensus amongst its diverse populace. Clearly there is no need for this shambolic and half-baked idea as it were!

As I have proposed in previous threads, its in the best interest of all the Somali speaking people to embrace the eventual and inevitable fragmentation of the Somali peninsula. All Somali speaking nation will establish trade and diplomatic ties, which in my opinion is better option than the current waiting game and stale mate that seems to be order of the day.
