None of those characteristics are from the Mediterranean except maybe the food and shisha. All of those cultural elements are Bedouin and can be seen in all in-land Bedouin tribes from Khaleejis to Somalis to Bejas to Tuaregs.

Well if I want I can find a source saying that pre-euorpean civilization, europeans lived in tents or were shepherds too and if you want a camel, I pretty much can place one in the heart of paris, if you like. afterall, i one time stated that adam smith was kidnapped by a gypsy when he was a 4 yr old and thus this introvert psycho is a father of nothing!
