Basically, the summer before I started college I worked this sick job making a semi-professional pay. It was a small company, and I shared an office with 2 other co-workers and our vice president, his dad was the founder, and we worked out of a 2nd story apartment in the ghetto, that was the whole operation.
After leaving for college I thought about working for him again but I got caught up in summer classes & other wasteful bullshit.
I called him back today 2 years later to work for him again, we ended up talking for a while and now he has 30 employees, a downtown office near the main university, and runs his entire field in the state. I fucked up big time, I could've been an office supervisor making $30/hour right now and exec in a few years when the company surpasses 100 employees, and within 8 years could've been pulling $200k looking over 500 employees.
At the time I had no idea we were a new company, I just thought my boss was a lazy salesman.
