Nomadicwarlord,

It is perhaps the most fair and balanced book out there. Very good reading and the author is a very pleasant person

Is this a new read or one for the ages?

Nomadic,

I highly recommend it because of the author's indepth coverage of several decades of Somali politics in a concise and apolitical way. Its hard to tell his affiliation from this book.

Speaking of Somali writers. Just picked up a Copy of one Yasmeen Maxamuud's book called "Nomad Diaries". Yet to read. Anyone read/heard of it?

Marcas,

Dr. Bulhan is an asset to the Somali people. He represents the generation that never got to lead but should have.
