His arabic is really good. I wonder what year was this interview taken!

As for the topic question, it is always a plus when a leader can speak couple of foreign languages!

Abti,

It depends. If he is addressing an Arab audience, he can be excused for speaking Arabic.

His arabic is mediocre, you can tell he isnt Arab than again he's a Somali who wishes he was. Its unnatural for Southern Somalis to speak Arabic.

Do you speak Arabic? And your statement of Southern Somalis not knowing Arabic is ludicrous based on the fact they are from the South, what if they lived in Arabic countries and shid? Quit being a dumbass.

If only he was a real President instead of a paper puppet.... but yeah its good for Somali leaders to know Arabic

Ofcourse I speak Arabic I'm a self professed Maakhiri. I find it unnatural for Somalis who arent refugees or born in the Arab world speaking Arabic. There accent is extreme and noticeable its actually easy to tell a Somali speaking arabic alone from their accent.

Somali leaders shouldnt strictly speak Arabic cause they aren't Arab and Somalia isnt an Arab country. That answered the question.

Somalis especially the South dont have history with the Arab world and their leaders are medoicre when they speak it. Especially those who want to be associated with the Arab world. Its rather an embarrassement, Sheikh Shariif is a joke.

He's a joke and they were all laughing at his attempt in the studio. I honestly find it embarrassing seeing a Southern Somali speaking Arabic cause they always fail and its the self professed wadaads.

Self-hating tunaboy, stop insulting decent human beings. Go tell a saudi "Anaa carab" and watch how he laughs in your scaly face.

Self-hating?

Im a proud maakhiri and Arabs always embrace me since we are no different from are khaleej countrerparts. I'd be self-hating if I were Somali and pro-Arab. Like many self-hating ethnic Somalis.
