Women against War & Violence
I am tired of all the war and violence in Somalia. It has been 22 years. Must we have 22 more years of war and violence? Enough is enough. We need peace to move on. Why must everything be solved with guns and bombs? We can do better than that. We are more than that. Enough is enough.

well said,
laakin let us not pardon women entirely from partaking the fray.......women have had a hand one way or the other in the conflict.....u know the saying "behind every great man is a great woman".....well flippin' the script, you'd find quite a few femme-futile fueling the frenzy caused by their not so great men.

Re: Women against War & Violence
22 years? I thought it was 20 years.
Violence against men, women or children is unacceptable. But it is clear, it's always women and children who suffer most in wars.
Anger, violence and hatred doesn't solve anything. I wish my Somali people learn that one day. Men and women should live together in mutual respect. No point putting all the blame on men, zulaika makes a good point. We (as women) must also try to make the changes we want to see.
Our country will find peace, insha-Allah. Some day. Our day will come but in the meantime lets keep hope.
