Soldier kills 4 on Israeli bus

JERUSALEM -- A 19-year old Israeli soldier opened fire yesterday aboard a bus that had just entered a Galilee town, killing two women and two men, after which an enraged mob stormed the vehicle and shot him to death.

The victims included two sisters in their early 20s, the bus driver and a male passenger, both 56. They belonged to Israel's Arab communities. Nearly a dozen passengers were wounded.

It was 5:30 p.m. when the shooting spree began, bringing hundreds of locals to the scene in the Druze quarter of the ancient city of Shfar'Amr.

When the crowd found out what happened, it turned into an enraged mob. Several people forced their way onto the bus, grabbed the suspected gunman and killed him.

The shooter was identified as Natan Zada, a resident of Rishon-le-Zion, 8 km southeast of Tel Aviv.


He went AWOL two months ago and it was reported that he refused orders to help build a tent city outside the Gaza Strip. The tents are to accommodate military personnel assigned to expelling the 8,000 Jewish settlers starting Aug. 15.

A tragic incident but what caught my attention was the response from arial sharon. He called the perp 'a blood thirsty JEWISH TERRORIST'.

Here in this site muslims are hesistant to condeming terrorist perps by their co-religionists and are protesting the 'muslim terrorist' label. But here you have a prime minister, known as brute and evil man, calling a rare terrorist act by his co-religionist exactly what it is -- the act of 'jewish terrorist'.

If only muslims could follow his example.
