In my book, Mareexaan has nothing to apologize for. They had the power of the nation and they took full advantage of it economically and otherwise. It was the cheerleaders, including some iidoors, who did the most damage as far as the killing and the social destruction that took place in our society,

Instead of counting the cash and keeping personal stashes he could have sent hundreds of young marexan kids to Universities abroad on state sponsored scholarships. They would have gained valuable knowledge and leadership skill needed for them to get ahead rest of somalis. They lived like dogs from day to day simply collecting welfare (booli Qaran) and when country collapsed the money evaporated along with the state and they were back to being Broke and illiterate clan.

The entire literary credentials of our nation have Mareexaan hands on it before and after Siyaad. You have a Mareexaan man named Lawaaxe who was not only the first Somali to graduate from university but was the Chief of Protocol to all the governments until his death because he was the only who knew how to run a state. You got a Mareexaan man named Shire Jaamac Axmed who invented the script we now use and printed the first journal in Somalia . You have a lady named Dalays who singlehandedly expanded the art of Balwo to include women years before Siyaad. You have a Mareexaan man named Warsame Indhool who masterminded the Bar ama Baro literary campaign that still cements us in record. You have a Mareexaan man named Idaaja who is seen by his own peers as the standing top Somali literary writer. Etc etc also on your commentary of their "could educated their children through sending them to university". We didn't have to do it illegally sxb but we still apart. Look around even in this forum, for years now Somalinet is the leading forum for young Somalis and we don't need to see the distinguished nature of the Marehan bloc with respect to intellectual capacity and literary credentials; they are the top of the food chain.
