Now that Shariif's gov't is pinned down, do you think the fat kid is gonna go ahead and recognize Puntland as a new republic?

The prime minister has authority, which can only be checked by legislative bodies (TFG has none), to enact laws relating to the recognition of breakaway regions.

This doesn't relate to Somaliland, this is real politics as recognized per the UN. Rallies don't decide these things, papers with government seals decide these matters. I only added Ogadenia because I think they'll play smart and work with Zenawi as per rumors, but I don't think in a million years that Somaliland's leadership and traditional outlook will allow them to use their heads and participate in actual politics in actual capital city's as Eritrea did in Addis, and as South Sudan is doing in Khartoum (VP of Sudan is the opposition leader).

Abdullahi Yusuf was obsessed with Xamar. The only thing that kept Puntland in the picture was Dulbahante, and Faroole doesn't see much in Sool so we are back at the isolationist pre-2003 period. Its the end of the road, and it is highly likely another TFG will be sponsored so we don't have anything to take from Xamar any longer.

paidmonk looking at the whole thing i dont see why it is taking P/L so long to over take Somalia, i guess however powerful you may be politically, you will never achieve anything without brute muscle when it is needed. the whole political game has been reduced to MJ vs Hawiyo, and historically you guys should win without lifting a finger, but that is however not the case anymore.

this is why P/L today is nothing more than a blabbing useless entity very much like S/L, it takes an entity with both realistic political agenda and an army of men. This entity will inshallah reestablish it stronghold and make Somalia what it was before and 100 times better, you may look at SSC and their diverse supporters as a root for this to be entity.
REALITY CHECK, if P/L cant do it today, like the SSDF could not do it yesterday, i think it is time for you guys to look more at the posibilities of the dream of S/L and look for independence. Lol


or you could always act responsibily and take the capital to Bosaso or Garowe, its lame but atleast way better than Xamar.

My Views and like it or not it sure should ring bells in your heads!

1. Somali republic depends on unity between S.land and P.land. 20 years have passed and they have not achieved it. I sure don't wish to waste another 20years hoping it will ever happen. Koonfur is not in a condition to bargain at this time and therefore can't be expected to carry the burden of somali union.

2. Koonfurians need more self love and less focus on the former republic.

3. Koonfur peace and unity will surely occur once we begin to disciminate against the Northerners.

Further more if you keep pushing us, we will happily push back and accept SSC... creating a wedge between you two warring nations in the process creating peace for you
